Andi Wolfgang graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2004 with a B.A. in Japanese and East Asian Studies and a minor in International Studies. With a desire to improve her Japanese and expand her horizons, she moved to Japan for a year, and subsequently returned for another 5 years with her sister. While living in Japan, Andi and her sister used their newfound interest in natural living and veganism to start several companies: Lucina Live Fruitfully (a healthy events company), Nama Kiss Chocolate (an organic plant based chocolate company), and Manna Raw Vegan Restaurant.
In 2011, they returned to the US and restarted Nama Kiss in Raleigh, North Carolina. Andi became certified as a Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and took over a dozen prerequisite science classes in order to apply to graduate school for nutrition. In 2016, Andi graduated from Tufts University's Master of Nutrition Science and Policy program in Boston, MA. She spent 2016 working as a Research Coordinator in the Energy Metabolism Laboratory at Tufts University's Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging (HNRCA) where she ran the Satiety Study and helped create a fortified energy bar to help combat malnutrition in Africa.
In 2017, Andi worked as a private cook while rebranding Nama Kiss into nuFudge, and in 2018, Andi took part in launching Juicygreens Juice Bar & Cafe, a plant based cafe in Jamaica Plain, MA. In 2019, Andi received her Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) credential and thereafter stopped running nuFudge to focus on running her nutrition practice. In addition to nutrition and personal chef services, Andi also consults for food startups in the areas of nutrition, menu development, costing/pricing, inventory management, and operations.
